Position: Control Room Officer – Liquid Terminal Operations

Location: Kandla, Gujarat

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Control Room Officer to manage and monitor terminal operations from the control room. The candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient handling of liquid storage terminal activities, process monitoring, coordination with field teams, and ensuring compliance with operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and control liquid terminal storage operations through DCS/SCADA systems.
- Operate and monitor tank farm activities including receipt, storage, transfer, and dispatch operations.
- Maintain accurate records of tank levels, pressure, temperature, flow rates, and operational parameters.
- Coordinate with field operators, shift supervisors, maintenance, and logistics teams for smooth operations.
- Execute start-up, shutdown, and emergency handling procedures as per SOPs.
- Monitor pumps, pipelines, valves, loading/unloading operations, and other terminal equipment.
- Ensure compliance with HSE procedures, permit-to-work systems, and operational safety standards.
- Respond effectively during abnormal situations, alarms, and emergency conditions.




- Prepare shift reports, operational logs, and handover notes.
- Support preventive maintenance activities by reporting equipment abnormalities.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, and industry best practices.

Qualification & Experience:

- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–8 years of experience in Liquid Terminal, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Chemical Storage Terminal, or Tank Farm Operations.
- Hands-on experience in Control Room Operations, DCS/SCADA monitoring, and terminal processes.
- Knowledge of handling hazardous liquids, pipelines, pumps, and storage systems.
- Experience in shift operations and emergency response procedures preferred.

Required Skills: Strong understanding of liquid storage terminal operations

Good knowledge of process safety and HSE practices

Ability to analyze alarms and troubleshoot operational issues

Positive communication and coordination skills

Ability to work in rotational shifts

Industry Preference: Liquid Cargo Terminal / Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Chemical Storage Operations
