We are looking for a Content & Editorial Lead to own and elevate our content function across all platforms. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong editorial judgement, strategic thinking, people leadership and a passion for creating content that genuinely helps users.

About the Role

As Content & Editorial Lead, you will own the content experience across amber, including city and university pages, property listings, blogs, product and marketing copy, and localisation.

You will lead a team of content editors, writers and freelancers, setting the editorial direction, maintaining quality standards and building scalable, data-driven content systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and drive content strategy across all user-facing content surfaces.
- Lead, mentor and develop content editors, writers and freelance contributors.
- Establish editorial guidelines, quality standards and a consistent brand voice.
- Create content systems, templates and workflows that ensure quality at scale.
- Leverage AI tools for research, analysis, quality checks and workflow automation.
- Drive content performance across Google Search, AI Search and other discovery platforms.
- Collaborate with SEO, Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Supply and Support teams.
- Ensure content accuracy, compliance and adherence to people-first content principles.
- Manage content calendars, workflows, localisation, vendors and delivery timelines.
- Track performance through GA4, Google Search Console,



Tableau and other analytics tools.
- Use data and experimentation to improve content engagement, enquiries and bookings.

What We're Looking For

- 6–9 years of experience in content, including 3+ years managing writers or editors.
- Experience working in a product startup, D2C, SaaS or mid-sized business.
- Excellent writing, editing, storytelling and editorial judgement.
- Strong understanding of SEO, E-E-A-T, Google's helpful content guidance and AI Search.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools and content workflow automation.
- Experience managing structured content, templates or programmatic pages.
- Proficiency in GA4, Google Search Console, Tableau or similar BI tools, and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Proven ability to build, mentor and lead high-performing content teams.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A first-principles approach to problem-solving and continuous learning.

- Experience in student housing, real estate, travel, rentals or marketplaces.
- Experience creating content for international audiences.
- Experience managing multilingual content and localisation.
- Exposure to YMYL content, original research or data journalism.
- Experience building AI-powered workflows, internal tools or content automation systems.
