CONSULTANT PAEDIATRICIAN

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Paediatrician with 3–5 years of clinical experience to provide comprehensive medical care to newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. The candidate should have solid clinical knowledge, good communication skills, and the ability to manage paediatric emergencies and routine clinical cases.

Roles and Responsibilities

- Diagnose, evaluate, and manage medical conditions in newborns, infants, children, and adolescents.
- Conduct outpatient consultations and provide appropriate treatment and follow-up care.
- Manage inpatient paediatric cases, including admission, monitoring, and discharge planning.
- Provide neonatal care and manage common newborn-related medical conditions.
- Assess and manage paediatric emergencies and initiate timely interventions.
- Monitor children's growth and development and provide guidance to parents.
- Administer and recommend vaccinations as per the national immunization schedule.
- Identify high-risk paediatric cases and coordinate referrals to higher levels of care when required.
- Work closely with nursing staff and other specialists to ensure quality patient care.




- Maintain accurate and complete medical records, clinical notes, and treatment plans.
- Counsel parents and caregivers regarding nutrition, preventive healthcare, hygiene, and child development.
- Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement activities, and departmental meetings.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and compliance with hospital and statutory requirements.

Qualification

- MBBS with MD/DNB in Paediatrics.
- Valid registration with the respective State Medical Council / National Medical Commission.
- 3–5 years of relevant clinical experience in Paediatrics.
- Experience in a multispecialty hospital setting will be an added advantage.
