Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC VTL Operator with 2-3 years of experience in operating Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) machines. The candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC VTL machines to manufacture precision components as per engineering drawings and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate CNC VTL machines efficiently and safely.
- Set up jobs, load and unload workpieces using suitable lifting equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions.
- Measure components using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary offset corrections.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications.
- Change and maintain cutting tools, inserts, and fixtures.
- Perform first-piece inspection and in-process inspections.
- Maintain production records and machine operation logs.
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules and report machine abnormalities.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and 5S standards.




- Coordinate with Production Supervisor, Quality, and Maintenance departments to achieve production targets.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of CNC VTL machine operations and controls.
- Ability to read engineering and GD&T; drawings.
- Understanding of machining parameters such as speed, feed, and depth of cut.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of different cutting tools and inserts.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming and editing (preferred).
- Ability to handle heavy components safely.

Educational Qualification

- ITI Machinist / Turner
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Experience Requirement

- 2-3 years of hands-on experience operating CNC VTL machines.
- Experience in heavy engineering, fabrication, machining, or manufacturing industries preferred.
