The Role: 11:11 Systems is seeking a Cloud Ops Engineer II, VMware Infrastructureto manage the day-to-day operations, optimization, implementation, and maintenance of 11:11’s VMware cloud compute systems. The role provides L2 operational support, including troubleshooting, capacity planning, cluster provisioning, fleet management, alert monitoring, and escalations, while partnering with internal technology teams and supporting customer outcomes.

Success requires technical depth in VMware infrastructure, attention to detail, accountability, customer focus, and a continuous improvement mindset. This is a full-time remote role, based in India reporting to the Manager of Cloud Infra Operations.

Responsibilities:

- Provide L2 operational support for VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, VCD, and virtual machines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents, service requests, and recurring issues within defined SLAs.
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, capacity, and availability; proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Provide support in troubleshooting break-fix issues on Veeam and Zerto.
- Collaborate with peers and other technology teams to resolve complex incidents and drive root cause analysis for recurring problems.
- Participate in change implementations, maintenance activities, and planned infrastructure upgrades, including validation and post-change checks.
- Act as an 11:11 escalation engineer for customer problems, including participation in the engineering on-call rotation after hours.
- Provide escalation support to Level I Cloud Operations Engineers.
- Manage cluster compute capacity, including hosts, CPU, and memory.
- Develop, track, and report KPIs associated with cloud system capacity, including CPU, memory, and storage.
- Provide accurate, timely, and professional responses to escalated customer tickets from Support.




- Provide complete ownership and accountability for assigned responsibilities regarding 11:11’s VMware cloud compute systems.
- Follow 11:11 Systems best practices for cloud compute systems management and deliver superior customer service while maintaining professional relationships.
- Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a manner that is consistent with 11:11's Code of Business Ethics and Company Values
- Responsibly receive, transmit, and handle company data and information per Company data handling agreements, work procedures and policies
- Review and follow company policies and guidelines, data privacy practices, including annual compliance training certification and policy acknowledgements
- Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience required.
- 4+ years of recent hands-on experience as a technical enterprise VMware administrator required.
- VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter Server, VCD, and virtual machine operations required.
- VMware management tools, including vCenter, vCloud Director, VMware Configuration Manager, and NSX preferred.
- Experience with Backup and DR solutions such as Veeam and Zerto preferred.
- Understanding of cloud-based infrastructure services, such as BaaS, IaaS and DRaaS.
- Experience working on CISCO UCS, DELL, HP Hardware Issues.
- VMware VCP or VCAP certification preferred.
