Job Title :: Head – Application & Production Support

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced IT professional to lead Application & Production Support operations for critical financial market systems. The candidate will be responsible for managing large support teams, ensuring smooth functioning of live applications and handling critical technical issues.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage a team of 20–30 professionals, including Managers and Team Leaders.
- Manage day-to-day IT operations and production support activities.
- Ensure smooth functioning of critical applications and systems.
- Handle application failures, technical issues and production incidents.
- Plan and manage software deployments in live production environments.
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure and business teams.
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents and adherence to SLAs.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.




- Manage vendors, operational risks and contingency planning.
- Monitor team performance and ensure process compliance.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 15–18 years of experience in IT Operations, Application Support or Production Support.
- Experience managing a team of at least 10 members.
- Strong understanding of Linux, Shell Scripting, SQL, PL/SQL and RDBMS.
- Knowledge of Java/C, ITIL framework and ServiceNow.
- Experience with ITRS or other monitoring tools.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, UDP and Multicast protocols.
- Solid experience in incident management and production deployment.
- Experience in vendor management and operational risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
