Position: Chief Growth Officer (CGO)

Company: Confidential (Fast-growing wellness & consumer care venture backed by an 84-year legacy conglomerate)

Location: Ahmedabad (Work from Office — 5 days a week, no hybrid)

Experience: 12–18 years (Marketing & growth leadership, with proven experience across managing physical stores, performance marketing, marketplaces and D2C and a track record of owning revenue and sales growth)

Qualification: MBA / PGDM in Marketing preferred

Background Sought: Must bring Modern Trade & General Trade background, Performance Marketing Marketplace (Amazon & Flipkart) FMCG D2C , with transparent ownership of revenue and sales growth.

Responsibilities

As Chief Growth Officer, you will own revenue growth and the complete marketing charter for the company — brand, performance, marketplace and trade — across D2C, GT/MT,Indian Stores (offline expansion) , Amazon, Flipkart, Quick Commerce.

You will build both the growth engine and the brand voice (“wellness that doesn't ask for effort”) for a platform and a stated ambition of 400 stores nationally and ₹2,000 crore in turnover by March 2027 — reporting directly to the CEO.

The CGO carries direct onus for generating better sales, growth and revenue for the company — this role is measured by the topline it delivers, not by marketing activity alone.

ROLE

- Head the Sales (Offline, Mega Stores, Online, Ecommerce), responsible for revenue and grwoth across product lines & SKUs.
- Own the revenue and growth targets for the company, along with end-to-end marketing strategy and P&L;, across D2C, marketplace (Amazon, Flipkart, Quick Commerce) and offline (GT/MT) channels.
- Take direct accountability for sales and revenue outcomes — drive month-on-month topline growth across every channel,



working hand-in-hand with the sales, trade and store teams.
- Pull every growth lever, not just media: pricing and promotions, channel mix, new-customer acquisition, repeat and retention, store sell-through and category expansion.
- Build and scale a performance marketing engine that drives profitable growth across every digital channel.
- Own marketplace strategy on Amazon and Flipkart: listings, ads, ratings and catalog growth.
- Lead a lean marketing team hands-on — this role is about building and executing, not just overseeing.
- Partner with the CEO on brand positioning, pricing and go-to-market for new product and category launches.
- Own the growth and marketing budget, and the revenue return on it, across every channel — reporting directly to the CEO.

MUST HAVES

- 12 years in marketing with proven, full-funnel experience across managing and opening stores across India,overall performance marketing, marketplaces (Amazon/Flipkart), D2C and GT/MT.
- FMCG, wellness or beauty category experience strongly preferred.
- Track record of building or significantly scaling a brand's marketplace presence on Amazon and Flipkart.
- Proven record of owning a revenue or sales target (not only marketing KPIs) and delivering measurable topline growth.
- Comfortable in a lean, hands-on, founder-led environment — not someone who has only worked through large agency teams.
