Role & responsibilities
- Design and develop ballastless track systems, including slab track, embedded rail, and floating track bed solutions.
- Perform structural analysis for track components, including rail fastening systems, sleepers, and substructure elements.
- Lead BLT track slab design and ensure compliance with international railway standards (AREMA, UIC, Indian Railways, EN 13670, etc.).
- Develop BLT derailment wall designs to enhance railway safety and mitigate risks.
- Conduct RSI (Rail-Structure Interaction) analysis to assess track performance under dynamic and static loading conditions.
- Design and optimize reinforced concrete (RCC) column track structures for metro and high-speed rail applications.
- Ensure proper integration of track design with geotechnical, structural, and environmental requirements.
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies for BLT implementation.
- Evaluate track stiffness, thermal expansion, and noise/vibration mitigation techniques.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, drawings, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for project execution.
- Ensure safety, reliability, and longevity of BLT solutions while minimizing maintenance costs.
- Collaborate with construction teams to provide technical guidance and resolve on-site design challenges.
- Design co-ordination with other stake holders related to design approval as well as Project execution.
