Role Description As a Bakery Commis at Nenapu, you will support daily production of breads, pastries, and desserts, including measuring ingredients, mixing doughs and batters, shaping items, and assisting with baking and finishing. You will help maintain workstation cleanliness, follow food safety and hygiene standards, and ensure equipment is properly cleaned and stored. The role involves preparing mise en place, assisting with stock rotation, organizing ingredients, and coordinating with the kitchen and service teams during busy hours.

You will follow recipes and guidance from senior bakers while learning new techniques and contributing to product consistency and quality.



This is a full-time, in office role based in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

- Foundational baking skills, including basic dough handling, pastry preparation, and familiarity with bakery equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards consistently.
- Knowledge of basic food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen sanitation procedures.
- Good teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, work early or flexible shifts, and manage repetitive tasks safely.
- Willingness to learn, take feedback positively, and grow technical baking and culinary skills over time.
- Prior experience in a bakery, café, or commercial kitchen is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Culinary or bakery certification or coursework is a plus.
