Azure Platform Engineer – Cloud, DevOps & FinOps

Job Summary: We are looking for an Azure Platform Engineer with a solid Platform Engineering mindset to build, operate, and scale our cloud architecture. In this role, you will focus on driving developer self-service automation, strengthening infrastructure security, and implementing FinOps best practices to keep our cloud cost optimized. As iVoyant shifts toward a multi-cloud architecture, you will be instrumental in ensuring our platforms remain reliable, scalable, and highly available.

Core Responsibilities:

- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design and maintain modular, reusable, and scalable Terraform templates to enable developer self-service provisioning.
- CI/CD & GitOps: Build and manage automated Azure DevOps YAML pipelines supporting blue-green deployments, rollbacks, and GitOps workflows.
- Container Orchestration: Administer and optimize Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, Helm charts, and associated ingress/networking components.
- Cloud Security & Compliance: Harden environments using Azure Key Vault, RBAC, Azure Policy, and Defender for Cloud; implement container scanning and CIS Benchmarks.
- FinOps & Cost Optimization: Lead cost-reduction strategies leveraging Azure Cost Management, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, auto-scaling, and Spot VMs.




- Data & Observability: Manage production PostgreSQL and Redis instances (HA, backups, tuning) while maintaining monitoring dashboards using ELK Stack, Grafana, Prometheus, and Azure Monitor.
- Multi-Cloud Readiness: Collaborate with engineering teams to align application architecture with high availability, disaster recovery, and upcoming AWS/GCP multi-cloud integrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Cloud Experience: 3 to 6 years of core DevOps/Platform experience with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (Networking, VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints).
- Automation & IaC: Advanced proficiency in Terraform (modules, workspaces, state management) along with PowerShell, Bash, or Azure CLI scripting.
- Containers: Strong hands-on experience with AKS, Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes lifecycle management.
- CI/CD Tools: Expert knowledge of Azure DevOps and Git repositories.
- Observability & Data: Proven experience handling ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana alongside production database administration for PostgreSQL and Redis.
- FinOps & Security: Demonstrated ability to manage cloud spend optimization and enforce cloud/container security baselines.
- Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP (EKS, GKE, IAM, VPC) to assist with multi-cloud transition.
