Role Description This is a full time, on-site role based in Kolkata, focused on Audit, GST, and Income Tax assignments. Daily responsibilities include performing statutory and internal audits, reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting and tax regulations. The role involves preparing and filing GST and income tax returns, assisting in tax assessments, and maintaining accurate documentation and working papers.

The individual will liaise with clients to gather information, clarify queries, and communicate findings and recommendations.



The role also includes staying updated on changes in tax laws and auditing standards and supporting senior team members in planning and executing engagements.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and assess compliance issues.
- Clear and professional communication skills for client interaction, documentation, and reporting.
- Knowledge of finance and financial statements, including understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Practical experience or training in auditing, including test of controls, substantive procedures, and audit documentation.
- Familiarity with GST and income tax principles, return filing, and basic tax planning concepts.
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software, MS Excel, and general office productivity tools.
- Relevant academic background such as B.Com, M.Com, CA/CA Inter, or equivalent qualifications in accounting, finance, or taxation.
- Ability to work accurately under deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and collaborate effectively within a team.
