We are looking for an Associate Avionics Engineer to support the design, development, testing, integration, and qualification of avionics systems for aerospace applications. The role requires hands-on involvement in embedded systems development, controller design, hardware integration, PCB development, system testing, and technical documentation while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the design and development of avionics subsystems and embedded electronic hardware.

- Support controller development for aerospace systems and subsystem integration.

- Develop and implement embedded firmware for microcontroller-based applications.

- Design electronic schematics and multilayer PCBs for avionics hardware.

- Interface, integrate, and validate sensors and actuators for aerospace applications.

- Implement and troubleshoot communication interfaces including UART, I²C, and SBUS protocols.

- Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, validation, and functional testing of avionics systems.

- Support system-level integration, qualification, and verification activities.

- Conduct instrumentation setup, hardware testing for valves and actuators, and troubleshooting using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and multimeters.

- Maintain technical documentation, design reports, test reports, qualification records, and configuration documentation.

- Coordinate with propulsion, structures, manufacturing, software, and systems engineering teams for subsystem integration.

- Follow laboratory safety procedures and quality standards during development and testing activities.

Requirements

- Sound understanding of embedded systems, digital electronics, and microcontroller architecture.





- Knowledge of communication protocols including UART, I²C, and SBUS.

- Familiarity with controller development and embedded C/C++ programming.

- Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools.

- Understanding of sensor and actuator modelling, interfacing, and integration.

- Knowledge of electronic circuit design, debugging, and hardware validation.

- Ability to work in laboratory for flight qualification of propulsion module electronics including but not limited to valves, actuators and electronic control units

- Perform receiving inspections of components and troubleshoot using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and multimeters.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Valuable technical documentation and reporting skills.

- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Avionics, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.

- 2+ years of experience in PCB designing, schematics, fabrication, and testing.

Preferred Skills

- Hands-on-experience in testing electronic control units, attitude control systems, solenoid valves and other flight hardware for satellite systems.

- Familiarity with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, OrCAD, or EAGLE.

- Knowledge of embedded development environments and debugging tools.

- Familiarity with hardware testing equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power supplies.

- Knowledge of aerospace avionics architecture and system integration processes.

- Familiarity with version control systems and software development workflows is an added advantage.
