Fieldproxy (YC W22) builds the operating system for field service companies: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, facilities and installation businesses in the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Most of them still run on spreadsheets, WhatsApp and software from 2005. We rebuild how they work, using AI.

This role sits between the customer and the product. You'll talk to owners and operations heads, understand how their business really runs day to day, and redesign it: what should be automated, what an AI agent should handle, what the office and the technicians should see. Then you build it on Fieldproxy with our team and take it live.

What you'll do

- Run discovery calls with business owners and operations leaders in the US, UK and ANZ, and turn what they say into a clear plan
- Map their current tools and workflows, and find where time and money are lost
- Design the new workflow: screens, automations and AI agents, and configure it on our platform
- Move their data from old systems and spreadsheets, and make sure the numbers match
- Demo the solution,

train their team and stay with them until it's working

Who we're looking for

- 1–4 years of work experience, ideally in consulting, business analysis, implementation or operations
- An MBA or a postgraduate management degree is a strong plus
- You think in terms of how a business makes money and where it leaks
- Comfortable with data: Excel, basic SQL, or willing to pick it up rapid
- You already use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or similar) in your own work
- Clear spoken and written English; comfortable leading a call with a business owner
- Able to take some early-morning or evening calls for US and ANZ time zones
- Based in Chennai or willing to move; this role is on-site

Why join

- Work directly with the founders and with customers from day one
- Real ownership: you'll own customer projects end to end
- See how dozens of businesses run, and help rebuild them for the AI era
