Key Responsibilities – Common to All Faculty Positions

- Deliver engaging, well-structured lectures, tutorials, practical/problem-solving sessions, and other assigned academic activities in relevant areas of Mathematics.
- Teach assigned courses in accordance with the approved curriculum, academic calendar, learning outcomes, and University policies.
- Use appropriate teaching methods, digital tools, mathematical software, and innovative pedagogy to support conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.
- Prepare course plans, teaching materials, question papers, assignments, rubrics, and other assessment resources; evaluate student work fairly and provide timely feedback.
- Support outcome-based education through clear course outcomes, assessment mapping, and continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Mentor students on academic progress, projects, higher studies, competitive examinations, and career development, as appropriate.
- Conduct and contribute to research, scholarly writing, publications, seminars, conferences, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Participate in curriculum revision, academic audits, departmental meetings, examination duties, accreditation-related documentation, and other institutional responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain professional conduct, accurate academic records, and effective communication with students, colleagues, and University stakeholders.

Professor – School of Mathematics

- Provide academic leadership in the School and contribute to the development and review of program, curriculum, research priorities, and academic quality.
- Lead and mentor faculty members in teaching effectiveness, research planning, scholarly publications, and professional development.
- Develop an active research profile; initiate or lead research projects, collaborative studies, seminars, and scholarly activities in relevant areas of Mathematics.
- Guide eligible research scholars and student research projects, subject to University regulations and applicable eligibility requirements.
- Build interdisciplinary research and academic collaborations across disciplines where mathematical modelling, statistics,



computation, or quantitative methods are relevant.
- Contribute to institutional strategy, quality assurance, accreditation, academic planning, and other leadership responsibilities assigned by the University.

Associate Professor – School of Mathematics

- Deliver high-quality teaching and contribute to course design, curriculum development, assessment, and continuous academic improvement.
- Maintain a consistent research and publication record and contribute to collaborative research projects, conferences, and scholarly activities.
- Guide student projects and research activities and supervise research scholars where permitted under applicable regulations.
- Support and mentor junior faculty members, share effective teaching practices, and contribute to departmental academic planning.
- Participate in program reviews, outcome-based education processes, quality assurance, and institutional committees as assigned.

Assistant Professor – School of Mathematics

- Prepare and deliver clear, student-centered classes in assigned areas of Mathematics and related quantitative subjects.
- Develop lesson plans, learning resources, assignments, question papers, and assessment activities aligned with course outcomes.
- Provide academic support, mentoring, remedial guidance, and constructive feedback to students.
- Build a developing research profile through publications, conference participation, collaborative projects, and professional learning.
- Participate in faculty development program, departmental meetings, examination-related duties, and other academic activities assigned by the University
