Role Description The Assistant Manager role is a full-time hybrid position based in Jamshedpur, with flexibility for some work-from-home as business needs allow. The role involves supporting day-to-day operations, coordinating with production, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure smooth execution of commercial vehicle projects.

Responsibilities include monitoring project timelines, tracking performance metrics, preparing reports and presentations, and assisting in process improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners, assist in resolving operational issues, and help maintain compliance with company standards and safety guidelines. The role also requires active participation in planning meetings, documentation of decisions, and continuous follow-up to drive implementation.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in operations coordination, project tracking, and process improvement in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and use basic business tools (e.g., MS Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems).
- Effective communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Sound understanding of production workflows, quality norms, and safety practices in industrial settings.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in commercial vehicles, automotive components, or heavy engineering manufacturing is highly beneficial.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid mode based in Jamshedpur and occasionally travel between plants if required.
