About the Role

Senior Application Architect – Government Digital Transformation Projects. Lead architecture, design, governance, and technology strategy for large-scale Government and e-Governance applications. Define enterprise-grade solution architectures ensuring scalability, security, interoperability, maintainability, and compliance with Government standards and policies.

Responsibilities

- Lead architecture, design, governance, and technology strategy for large-scale Government and e-Governance applications.
- Define enterprise-grade solution architectures ensuring scalability, security, interoperability, maintainability, and compliance with Government standards and policies.
- Define application architecture, solution blueprints, technical standards, architecture decision records, integration frameworks, reusable components, and technology roadmaps.
- Translate business and policy requirements into scalable and secure technical solutions.
- Develop solution architecture documents and define application design standards.
- Define application layers, business services, domain models, service orchestration, API framework, reusable services, integration components, and enterprise patterns.
- Ensure solution alignment with enterprise architecture standards, Government technology frameworks, interoperability guidelines, and digital governance objectives.
- Design cloud-native, service-oriented, event-driven, and microservices-based architectures supporting scalability, maintainability, and future extensibility.
- Architect integrations with Aadhaar, eKYC, DigiLocker, Payment Gateways, SMS Gateways, Email Services, GIS Platforms, Single Sign-On (SSO), ERP Systems, HRMS, PFMS, and other Government systems.
- Design solutions for Government Community Cloud (GCC), State Data Centers (SDC), National Data Centers (NDC), Private Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, Azure, AWS, and GCP environments.
- Ensure implementation of authentication, authorization, SSO, MFA, encryption, audit logging, API security, data privacy, secure coding practices, and Government cyber security requirements.
- Architect high-availability systems supporting large-scale citizen usage, high transaction volumes, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Establish architecture governance frameworks, perform architecture reviews, technology assessments, design reviews, and compliance validations.
- Work closely with DevOps teams for CI/CD implementation, infrastructure automation, release governance, monitoring,



and application lifecycle management.
- Engage with Secretaries, Joint Secretaries, Mission Directors, Department Heads, Program Managers, PMUs, Architects, and Technology Partners to drive architectural decisions.
- Mentor architects, technical leads, and development teams.
- Define engineering standards, development best practices, coding standards, and reusable framework adoption.
- Support Government RFP analysis, technical proposal preparation, architecture solutioning, effort estimation, bid support, and customer presentations.
- Demonstrated experience in Fixed Price Project (FPP) delivery including architecture estimation, risk management, scope assessment, solution sizing, and delivery governance.

Mandatory Experience Minimum 15+ years of IT experience with at least 8+ years in Architecture roles and 5+ years working on large Government, PSU, or e-Governance transformation projects.

Fixed Price Project Experience Demonstrated experience in Fixed Price Project (FPP) delivery including architecture estimation, risk management, scope assessment, solution sizing,



and delivery governance.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Architecture Compliance Rate, Solution Quality Index, System Availability, Performance Benchmarks Achievement, Security Compliance Score, Technical Debt Reduction, Reusability Score, Delivery Predictability, Customer Satisfaction, Successful Production Releases.

Ideal Candidate Profile A seasoned Application Architect with deep expertise in Government Digital Transformation, e-Governance platforms, citizen-facing systems, workflow automation solutions, enterprise integration, cloud-native architectures, and large-scale bespoke application development. Capable of driving end-to-end architecture governance while ensuring secure, scalable, compliant, and future-ready solutions for Government programs.

Qualifications

- Minimum 15+ years of IT experience with 8+ years in Solution/Application Architecture roles.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Government, PSU, or e-Governance projects.
- Must have architected and delivered at least 4 large-scale Government Digital Transformation projects.
- Must have been actively involved in both architecture and implementation phases through go-live and stabilization.
- Educational Qualifications B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech or equivalent from a recognized institution. Master's degree preferred.
