1. Business Requirements & Solution Design

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data governance, cataloging, and metadata management requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications and configure Alation to meet organizational objectives.

1. Alation Platform Expertise

- Serve as the subject matter expert for Alation Data Catalog, including data discovery, stewardship, lineage, and policy management.
- Provide guidance on best practices for catalog adoption and integration with enterprise data platforms.

1. Data Product Marketplace

- Good understanding &

experience defining & implementing data products.

1. Implementation & Configuration

- Lead functional implementation activities such as setting up domains, workflows,



and metadata enrichment.
- Ensure proper integration with data sources (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.) and security frameworks.

1. User Enablement & Training

- Develop and deliver training sessions, documentation, and onboarding materials for business users and data stewards.
- Promote data literacy and drive adoption of Alation across the organization.

Positive to have

- Restful API integration - needed to integrate systems to and with Alation
- SQL - to curate views for power bi integration, to maintain mapping tables, quarterly stats etc
- Python - to build workflows or jobs in databricks for various usecases.
