Role Description This is a full time, on-site Agency Manager role based in Cannanore.

The Agency

Manager is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing a team of insurance agents, ensuring they are equipped to effectively present Niva Bupa’s products and meet sales targets. The role includes driving business growth through agency channels, planning and executing local sales strategies, and monitoring performance metrics.

Manager will maintain strong relationships with customers and partners, support agents in complex cases, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company guidelines. Daily activities involve field visits, performance reviews, sales planning, reporting, and close collaboration with branch leadership and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in sales, business development, or channel management, preferably in insurance or financial services.

- Strong team leadership and people management skills, with the ability to recruit, coach, and motivate agents.

- Ability to build and maintain customer and partner relationships, with a focus on service quality and retention.

- Comfort with data-driven decision-making, including tracking targets, analyzing performance, and preparing reports.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and local language preferred.

- Good understanding of health insurance products and regulatory requirements, or willingness to learn quickly.

- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, management, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.

- Willingness to work on-site in Cannanore, conduct regular field visits, and adapt to a dynamic, target-oriented environment.
