Accounts Payable Specialist Payment Processing

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our rapidly growing team. Position is remote in India. You will assist in managing payment inquiries, discrepancies, payment failures and urgent payments.

At Compass You Will

- Process ACH, International/Domestic Wires and check payments
- Research and Resolving payment failures
- Bank - ability to understand and enter foreign and domestic wire instructions within the bank portal.
- Reconciliation of auto debits
- Testing for system updates, enhancements and new tools
- Resolve vendor inquiries to resolution
- Documentation of processes and procedures
- Streamline existing processes
- Partner with the Accounting Team to ensure that there are no delays in month end close due to bank book discrepancies
- Assist in both internal and external audits
- Develop relationships with vendors to better assist them in their requests
- Collaborate with team members to improve the operational systems, processes and policies within the Accounts Payable division of Finance & Accounting
- Advanced understanding and knowledge of tax form W9
- Familiar with 1099 tax form processing
- Assist with additional ad hoc requests and projects for the department
- Extensive experience and knowledge performing verbal call backs to vendors to verify requests for amendments and new vendors




- Strong understanding and proven track record in detecting fraud
- Entering and Processing domestic and foreign wires

Preferred candidate profile

- 3-5 years experience in payment processing which includes ACH, domestic and international wires
- Advanced degree required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 1-2 years Oracle E-Business Suite(EBS), Netsuite, Zendesk, Oracle Fusion experience, Coupa and Concur preferred
- Proficient in Excel and Google Suite tools
- Extensive experience with requisition and PO processing of invoices
- Strong critical thinking, problem solving and quantitative skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and glass-half-full mentality
- A secure private at home work space is required. Must be able to join video calls on a regular basis
- Team player with a cooperative spirit, cooperative attitude and ability to work across multiple departments
- Self-starter, positive attitude and zero ego
- Excellent organizational skills, and impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks within an open and interactive environment
