Role Description The 3D Designer at Wudly Toys will create detailed 3D concepts and models for wooden toys, including early development, pretend play, and cognitive game products. This full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad involves translating design briefs into functional, child-safe toy designs, preparing production-ready files, and collaborating closely with product designers, engineers, and marketers. Day-to-day responsibilities include 3D modeling, applying appropriate materials and textures, setting up lighting for visual presentations, and contributing to product animations or visual demonstrations when needed.

The 3D Designer will also refine designs based on user feedback, safety guidelines, and manufacturing constraints, ensuring that each toy aligns with Wudly’s aesthetic, sustainability values, and educational goals.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and technical drafting.
- Strong expertise in Part Modeling, Surface Modeling, and Product Development.




- Experience in creating and managing Assemblies and detailed component structures.
- Ability to prepare accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) for manufacturing and procurement.
- Knowledge of developing Production Files, including manufacturing drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
- Understanding of product design for manufacturability and production processes.
- Ability to convert concepts, sketches, and ideas into production-ready 3D models.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Valuable understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques, and quality requirements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and procurement teams.
- Basic knowledge of Keyshot for rendering.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop innovative toy products using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings.
- Prepare and maintain complete Bill of Materials (BOM) for all product designs.
- Generate production-ready files and documentation for manufacturing.
- Develop part models and assembly structures as per design requirements.
- Coordinate with the production team to ensure smooth product development and manufacturing.
- Modify and improve existing designs based on production feedback.
- Ensure designs meet quality, safety, and manufacturing standards.

Qualification

- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in 3D Product Design, preferably in toys, furniture, consumer products, or manufacturing industries.
- Freshers with exceptional SolidWorks skills and a strong portfolio may also apply.
