The Senior Software Engineer I is a hands-on project contributor who owns the design and delivery of significant features and small-to-medium projects. The role translates business needs into reliable, secure and maintainable solutions, makes sound technical decisions under ambiguity, and helps raise the team's engineering and operational standards. Lead features or small-to-medium projects from requirements and design through implementation, release and production support.

Break down ambiguous requirements, evaluate technical trade-offs, and communicate assumptions, risks and recommendations clearly.

Design, develop and review clean, secure, tested and maintainable software that meets First American engineering standards.

Embed reliability, performance, security, observability, error handling and recovery considerations into solutions.

Partner with product, quality, architecture, platform and other engineering teams to resolve dependencies and delivery blockers.

Participate in on-call support, incident response and root-cause analysis, ensuring learnings result in durable improvements.

Use AI-assisted development tools for design, coding, testing, documentation, debugging and analysis while rigorously validating outputs.

An ideal candidate should have solid hands-on experience with:

Frontend Developer: React Js or Next .Js

Backend Developer: .NET Core, Nest.Js

AWS services and cloud-native application development

PostgreSQL and/or DynamoDB, including data modelling and performance considerations

Git, CI/CD, automated testing, code review and secure development practices

Agile/Scrum delivery using tools such as Jira

AI coding tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot or Claude Code

Python, Node.js, OpenAPI/Swagger, infrastructure as code, observability platforms and experience with production support or SLOs.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.

Typically 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, including independent ownership of production features or projects.
