As a Character Concept Artist, you will design characters that are visually compelling, conceptually strong, and integral to the narratives of the games we work on. You ll work closely with creative directors, game designers, and 3D artists to develop character concepts that enhance the games universe and appeal to players. Your designs will help define the visual identity of new worlds and push the boundaries of imagination.

What will you do

- Create dynamic, original character concepts based on the project s art direction and narrative needs.
- Develop rough sketches, refined illustrations, and final polished designs that showcase characters from different angles, including expressions, costumes, accessories, and poses.
- Explore a variety of design solutions that balance creativity, functionality, and technical feasibility.
- Collaborate with 3D artists, animators, and game designers to ensure that character concepts are translated effectively into the game engine.
- Work within established deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Iterate on feedback from the team, including directors, game designers, and art leads, while bringing fresh and unique ideas to the table.
- Research and gather visual references to ensure that the designs align with the games world,



genre, and target audience.
- Stay updated on current trends in character design, anatomy, and stylization within the gaming industry.

What are we looking for

- 3+ years of experience as a character concept artist,
- Strong portfolio showcasing character designs for games.
- Exceptional drawing, illustration, and painting skills
- Strong understanding of anatomy, proportion, and colour theory.
- Ability to design a range of characters, from stylized to realistic
- Mastery of Adobe Photoshop or other digital painting software.
- Familiarity with 3D tools such as ZBrush or Blender is a plus.
- Solid visual storytelling skills
- Ability to convey personality, emotion, and narrative through character design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take constructive feedback and iterate designs
