The company reports that the facility has been inspected by EDQM and COFEPRIS (Mexico) and holds WHO-GMP approval.

Location: Plant located approximately 30–35 km from Vadodara city, Gujarat

Qualification: Any Graduate

Experience: 12–18 years in raw material procurement for API manufacturing

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead raw material purchasing for an API manufacturing facility. The role will focus on ensuring timely availability of quality materials, developing reliable suppliers, optimizing procurement costs and supporting uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead procurement of key starting materials (KSMs), intermediates, solvents, reagents and other raw materials required for API manufacturing.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for domestic and imported materials.
- Identify and develop alternative suppliers to reduce supply risks and dependence on single sources.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and supply agreements.
- Coordinate with QA, QC and R&D; for vendor qualification, material evaluation and supplier changes.
- Work closely with production and planning teams to ensure material availability as per manufacturing schedules.
- Monitor market trends, price movements and lead times for critical materials.
- Drive measurable cost savings while maintaining material quality and supply reliability.
- Manage inventory levels, safety stocks and working capital; minimize excess and slow-moving materials.
- Oversee import procurement and coordinate logistics and customs clearance, wherever applicable.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality,



delivery and commercial issues.
- Lead the purchase team and maintain accurate procurement records, MIS and ERP data.
- Support audits through appropriate supplier documentation and procurement traceability.

Candidate Requirements

- Any Graduate with 12–18 years of relevant experience in API raw material procurement.
- Strong knowledge of KSMs, intermediates, solvents and reagents used in API manufacturing.
- Experience in supplier development, commercial negotiation and procurement planning.
- Understanding of vendor qualification and purchasing requirements in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
- Solid coordination, analytical and team leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel.
- Willingness to work at the plant location near Vadodara.
