Recon Analytics is hiring a [Senior] Research Analyst in India to support its Device Intelligence research. As part of the Device Intelligence team, the analyst will contribute to Recon’s research on smartphones and consumer devices, covering global sell-through, device economics, carrier dynamics, and consumer behavior. The analyst will work with senior analysts and with clients, including OEMs, carriers, component suppliers, and investors, to make sure our device research holds up both quantitatively and qualitatively. The Work As an Analyst on the Recon Analytics Device Intelligence Group, your responsibilities will include:
• Creating and managing global and country-level market trackers and industry reports across device categories such as smartphones, tablets, wearables and PC/laptops.
• Networking with local OEMs, industry executives and build awareness about our products and services
• Supporting other market research activities and business initiatives
• Preparing reports and contributing to internal and external presentations
• Collaborating with global team members across time zones
• Writing blogs and research notes under the guidance of senior team members
• Participating in weekly and daily meetings and collaborating through tools such as MS Teams, Outlook, Asana, and others We invest in training and provide resources. We don't micromanage. If you can't figure something out in 15 minutes, ask. We'd rather answer questions than fix avoidable mistakes.



Who This Is For
• You learn quick and stay curious. You think in systems and catch what others miss. You have 2+ years in an analytical role. You're an expert with MS Powerpoint and Excel.
• Backgrounds that work: market research agency, consumer or industry insights, market tracking, or any seat where you owned a recurring data program. Device or telecom knowledge is a plus, not a prerequisite.
• Existing relationship with device OEMs and local carriers is preferred. You know who the decision-makers are, how product and pricing decisions get made, and how to get a straight answer from them. Compensation and Benefits
