Architect, design, deploy, upgrade, and manage large-scale Open Stack private cloud platforms.
Lead platform engineering, automation, reliability, and operational-improvement initiatives.
Administer and integrate core services including Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, Heat, Horizon, Placement, and Octavia.
Ensure platform availability, scalability, security, performance, capacity, and compliance.
Collaborate with compute, network, storage, security, and application teams in an ITIL-based delivery environment.
Qualifications
Basic
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
8 12 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, and virtualization, including strong hands-on Open Stack experience.
Strong expertise in Linux administration, KVM, Open Stack architecture, deployment, operations, and troubleshooting.
Preferred
Strong hands-on experience in Open Stack installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, administration, and lifecycle management.
Good working knowledge of Nova compute, Neutron networking, Cinder block storage, Glance images, Keystone identity, Heat orchestration, Horizon, Placement, and Octavia.
Strong hands-on expertise in KVM, QEMU, libvirt, Linux networking, and virtualization performance tuning.
Experience with Open vSwitch, OVN, VLAN, VXLAN, provider networks, floating IPs, routers, security groups, and load balancing.
Experience integrating Ceph or enterprise storage platforms with Open Stack.
Automation experience using Ansible, Terraform, Python, shell scripting, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Experience with high availability, disaster recovery, capacity planning, cluster hardening,



and platform upgrades.
Strong troubleshooting, incident management, problem management, and root-cause analysis capabilities.
Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
Solid knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise operations.
Advanced Concepts / Expertise
Multi-region, availability-zone, host-aggregate, and cell-based Open Stack architecture.
Advanced Neutron design, including OVN/OVS, distributed virtual routing, overlay networking, SR-IOV, DPDK, and network-function virtualization.
Ceph-backed storage architecture, performance optimization, failure recovery, and capacity management.
Open Stack control-plane high availability, database clustering, message-queue resilience, and disaster-recovery design.
Bare-metal provisioning with Ironic and image-building with related Open Stack services.
Identity federation, role-based access control, certificate management, secrets management, and security hardening.
Platform observability, resilience testing, performance benchmarking, and tuning at scale.
Upgrade planning, workload migration, version compatibility assessment, and rollback strategy.
Cost optimization, utilization analysis, capacity forecasting, and service-level reporting.
Nice to Have
Red Hat Open Stack Platform, Canonical Open Stack, or upstream Open Stack experience.
Public cloud exposure across AWazS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Relevant certifications such as RHCE, RHCA, or Open Stack certification.
Programming experience in Python or Go.
Dev SecOps, compliance, configuration management, and Git-based delivery practices.
Experience with telco cloud, edge computing, NFV, and carrier-grade infrastructure.
