Job Profile Responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company's purchasing activities. This role involves strategic sourcing, vendor management, cost negotiation, and ensuring timely and efficient procurement of goods and services while adhering to company policies and regulatory standards. Responsibilities
• Plan purchases based on production plans, stock levels, sales forecasts and project requirements.
• Raise and release purchase orders (POs) on time, following approved purchase requests and company policy.
• Identify, evaluate and develop recent vendors, locally and nationally, including alternate sources for critical items.
• Ensure all Purchase Requisitions (PRs) are converted to Purchase Orders (POs) within a strict 7-day timeframe
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors to expand the supplier base and enhance sourcing options.
• Manage inventory levels effectively to minimize holding costs while ensuring continuous production.
• Proactively follow up on deliveries to prevent delays and ensure continuity of supply.
• Coordinate with Quality and R&D; teams on material specifications,



approvals and vendor samples.
• Handle rejections, returns and replacement of defective materials with vendors.
• Ensure purchase documentation (PO, GRN, invoices, challans) is accurate and complete. Requirements Qualification and Experience
• Graduate in Engineering / Commerce / Science; MBA or PG in Materials / Supply Chain Management preferred.
• Minimum 5– 7 years of experience in purchase or procurement, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in electrical, electronics or manufacturing industry preferred. Skills and Competencies
• Strong negotiation, vendor management and commercial skills.
• Good knowledge of materials, components, market rates and sourcing channels.
• Working knowledge of ERP / purchase software and MS Excel.
• Understanding of GST, import / export procedures and purchase-related statutory requirements.
