Position: Guidewire PC & CC Integration Developer

Experience: 6+ years

Location: Remote

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Guidewire Developer with over 6 years of core technical expertise across Guidewire PolicyCenter (PC) OR ClaimCenter (CC). The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end design, configuration, integration and performance tuning of Guidewire applications in Property & Casualty (P&C;) insurance environments.

Key Responsibilities

Core Development & Architecture:

- Design, configure, and customize Guidewire PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter modules adhering to best development practices and coding standards.
- Develop robust business logic, validation rules, workflows, rule engines, PCFs, and data models using Gosu.

Integration Engineering:

- Implement integrations between Guidewire PC/CC and external downstream/upstream systems (e.g., Billing, Document Management, Payment Gateways, Rating Engines, Enterprise Data Warehouses).
- Build and consume RESTful APIs, SOAP Web Services, Messaging Queues (JMS/Kafka), and GX Models.
- Configure plugin implementations, batch processes, and event-driven messaging architectures.





Release & Platform Upgrades:

- Support platform enhancements, maintenance, production defects resolution, and core Guidewire version upgrades (including Guidewire Cloud / Jutro design system where applicable).

Code Quality & Mentorship:

- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and static code analysis to maintain architectural integrity.
- Mentor junior developers and collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and QA engineers in an Agile/Scrum setting.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

Core Guidewire Expertise:

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in Guidewire application development with proven delivery across PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter.
- Strong proficiency in Gosu, Gosu Queries, PCF configuration, Entities, Typelists, and Data Model extensions.
- In-depth understanding of P&C; insurance lifecycles (submissions, policy issuance, renewals, endorsements, claims FNOL, adjudication, exposure, and financials).

Integration & Middleware:

- Demonstrated hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, Web Services, XML/JSON parsing, and messaging plugins.
- Familiarity with enterprise message brokers (Kafka, MQ) and external database schemas (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL).

DevOps & Tooling:

- Experience with version control systems (Git, Bitbucket), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI), and build tools (Gradle/Maven).





Certifications:

- Guidewire Certified Associate / Professional or Guidewire ACE Certification (PolicyCenter / ClaimCenter / Integration) is a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP), Jutro Digital Platform, or Cloud transition accelerators.
- Prior experience implementing rating engines, product designer models, or document production engines (e.g., Thunderhead/SmartComm).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and client-facing communication skills.
