Job Title: Head Nurse - General Ward

Location: Umayanalloor, Kollam (1.5 km from NH 66)

About the Role

We're an outpatient (OP) clinic that has served our community for the past 23 years. We're looking for an experienced and dependable Head Nurse to lead our nursing team of 4, keep patient care to a high standard and make sure daily nursing operations run smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the nursing team, and prepare duty rosters and shift allocations.
Make sure patient care, procedures and documentation follow clinical protocols.
Coordinate with doctors, the front office, the laboratory and the pharmacy for smooth patient flow.
Oversee infection control, hygiene, biomedical waste management and patient safety.
Monitor medical supplies and equipment, and train and guide nursing staff.
Handle patient concerns and report on nursing operations to management.

Qualifications and Experience
B.Sc Nursing from a recognised institution.
Valid registration with the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council.




At least 8 years of clinical nursing experience, with supervisory experience preferred.

Skills
Robust leadership and team management.
Positive communication in Malayalam and English.
Sound clinical judgement and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Basic computer skills for records and reporting.

Shift Timings (rotational, as the department requires)
Morning shift: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Noon shift: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Evening shift: 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM
