We are seeking an ambitious

Mechanical Design &
Simulation Engineer to join our core engineering team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end mechanical design, structural/thermal simulation, and prototyping of next-generation Lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery packs and enclosures.

Responsibilities
Mechanical CAD Design:

Prepare 3D designs and assemblies for Li-ion battery pack components using

SolidWorks

—including plastic enclosures, sheet metal brackets, die-cast parts, busbars, insulation sheets, sealing mechanisms, and testing JIGs.
Simulation &
FEA Analysis:

Conduct multi-physics FEA and CFD simulations including Vibration (Random &
Sweep), Mechanical Shock, Thermal Shock, Resonance, Static FEA, Crush Analysis, and CFD.
Design Optimization:

Interpret simulation results to provide actionable design improvements, lightweighting, and thermal/structural optimization.
Manufacturing &
Drawings:

Generate detailed 2D manufacturing drawings, apply

GD&T;

, perform tolerance stack-up studies, and ensure creepage & clearance compliance.
DFM / DFA Implementation:

Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles across plastic injection molding, sheet metal stamping, and die-casting.
Testing &
Validation:





Review test plans, build testing JIGs, and collaborate with validation teams to evaluate battery component performance under operational stresses.
Effort &
Planning:

Support project timelines with accurate effort estimation for mechanical design and simulation deliverables.

Qualifications
Education:

BE / B.Tech in

Mechanical Engineering

(Mandatory).
Experience:

1 to 5 years in mechanical design, preferably with direct exposure to

Li-ion battery packs, EV battery systems, or BESS

.
CAD Expertise:

Advanced proficiency in

SolidWorks

(3D modeling, sheet metal, plastics, 2D drafting).
FEA / Simulation Expertise:

Solid hands-on experience in FEA/CFD simulation using

ANSYS or

Abaqus

(Knowledge of Star-CCM+ or COMSOL is a solid plus).
Domain Knowledge:
Solid understanding of plastic materials, sheet metal forming, and die-casting processes.
Practical knowledge of material selection based on thermal, mechanical, and electrical properties.
Robust foundation in

GD&T;

, tolerance stack-up, DFM, and DFA.
Location:

Based in or willing to relocate to Bengaluru (5 days Work From Office).
