Role Overview

Fortmax Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. is expanding its innovation capabilities in water‑based polymer technologies. The R&D; Specialist will be responsible for the synthesis, development, optimization, and scale‑up of acrylic and styrene‑acrylic emulsions for applications in paints, adhesives, and construction chemicals. This role requires robust hands‑on expertise in polymer synthesis along with responsibilities related to commercialization and technology transfer.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop water‑based acrylic and styrene‑acrylic emulsions.
Optimize polymerization parameters including Tg, particle size, solids content, and MFFT.
Conduct raw material screening and competitive benchmarking.
Develop binders for decorative paints, pressure‑sensitive adhesives (PSAs), and construction chemical applications.
Enhance adhesion, durability, water resistance, and mechanical properties of formulated products.




Independently manage lab‑to‑pilot and pilot‑to‑plant scale‑up activities with minimal supervision.
Troubleshoot polymerization and production‑related challenges.
Conduct and interpret analyses including DSC, TGA, FTIR, rheology, and application performance testing.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure full compliance with SOPs.
Collaborate effectively within the R&D; team and contribute to capability building.

Key Competencies
Solid expertise in water‑based acrylic emulsion polymerization.
Deep understanding of polymer structure–property relationships.
Hands‑on experience in reactor handling and scale‑up operations.
Solid analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
Ability to independently lead projects from concept through commercialization.
