Machine Setup &
Operation:

Load raw materials, mount workholding fixtures, set zero points, and input work and tool offsets on the machine. Read VMC Operator Guide for breakdown of toolholder and fixture duties. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Blueprints &
Programming:

Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical blueprints, and G&M; codes. Review VMC Job Role Overview for control system and blueprint requirements. [1, 2, 3, 4]
First-Piece &
Quality Inspection:

Measure finished components using precision instruments like Vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to ensure tolerances are met. [1, 2, 3]
Tool &
Program Adjustments:

Monitor cutting tool wear, change broken or worn-out tools, and make minor edits to programs or offsets when dimensions drift. [1, 2]
Maintenance &
Safety:

Perform routine daily checks on coolant levels, lubricate components, keep the workspace clean, and follow safety protocols. [1, 2]
