Job Description: Senior Design EngineerPosition Title Senior Design Engineer Department Engineering / Design & Development Reports To Design Manager / Engineering Manager Job Summary Key Responsibilities - Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and products using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Siemens NX. - Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models in accordance with engineering standards. - Design and develop Jigs, Fixtures, Dies, and manufacturing tooling for production requirements. - Perform engineering calculations, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design validation. - Conduct FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and simulation studies using ANSYS to evaluate product performance, strength, and durability. - Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost reduction, and quality improvement. - Collaborate with production, quality, tooling, and project teams to ensure successful product implementation. - Support prototype development, testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. - Review engineering drawings and ensure compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. - Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. - Prepare and maintain design documentation, BOMs, technical reports, and engineering change records.



Required Qualifications - Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. - 5-10+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering. - Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Siemens NX. - Strong experience in Jig & Fixture Design and Die Design. - Hands-on experience with FEA Simulation and ANSYS. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes, sheet metal, machining, welding, and tooling. - Understanding of GD&T;, DFM, DFA, and engineering drawing standards. - Robust analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Skills - Experience in product development and tooling projects. - Knowledge of PLM/PDM systems. - Exposure to project management and cross-functional team coordination. - Experience working with automotive, industrial, heavy engineering, or manufacturing sectors.
