The job

- We are seeking a Senior WordPress Full‑Stack Developer (Contract) to join our digital team through the end of the year. This role is ideal for a seasoned engineer with 8+ years of hands‑on experience building high‑quality, scalable, and secure WordPress websites using PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and modern front‑end practices. - You will work closely with our Web Tech Lead, a junior developer, and our external web agency to deliver features, improvements,



and optimizations across our global web estate. You will also collaborate directly with our Demand Generation team, executing a structured roadmap through ASANA and supporting fast‑moving marketing requirements. - Success in this role requires strong technical depth and clear, confident communication. You will be expected to work effectively within a mixed, globally distributed organisation, adapting to different communication styles, time zones, and cultural contexts while maintaining a team-oriented and solutions‑focused approach._-
- This is a temporary full‑time contract role, running until the end of the calendar year._

Key responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and optimise WordPress websites, including custom themes, plugins, and headless integrations (Next.js)._
- Work closely with the Web Tech Lead, junior developer, external agency, and global stakeholders to deliver roadmap items._
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve site performance using tools like New Relic, Datadog, and Query Monitor._
- Support multilingual and multisite operations, ensuring stability, scalability, and consistency across regions._
- Collaborate with the Demand Generation team through ASANA to deliver marketing and web requirements on schedule._

Essential requirements

- Minimum 3+ years of hands‑on, production WordPress development (with a broader technical background totalling ~10 years)._
- Strong proficiency in WordPress, PHP,



JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, including custom theme and plugin development._
- Experience with headless WordPress setups, particularly using Next.js._
- Working knowledge of performance monitoring, debugging tools, and web optimisation best practices._
- Ability to operate effectively within a global, cross‑cultural team and communicate clearly in fast‑moving environments._
