Role: Senior Site Reliability Engineer / Pega Production Support Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong expertise in Pega production support, Red Hat OpenShift, and application reliability engineering.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing enterprise production environments, troubleshooting complex application and platform issues, implementing automation, and improving system availability and performance.

The candidate will work closely with application, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure high availability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of production systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Define, implement, and govern Service Level Indicators (SLIs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and error budgets.
- Design and improve observability, monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Implement automation and self-healing solutions to reduce operational toil.
- Lead production readiness, go-live activities, NFR validation, and Permit to Operate (PTO).
- Provide hands-on production application support and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Lead P1/P2/P3 incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and preventive action implementation.
- Embed SRE best practices into application design, CI/CD pipelines, and release processes.
- Monitor application health and performance using Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, and AppDynamics.




- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to SRE standards and operational best practices.
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to improve service reliability.

Mandatory Technical Skills

1. Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

- 5+ years of experience in SRE / Reliability Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of SLI, SLO, SLA, and error budgets.
- Incident management, RCA, problem management, and production support.
- Automation, self-healing, and operational excellence.

2. Pega PRPC / Pega PDC

- 4+ years of experience in Pega Workflows / Pega Production Support.
- Strong knowledge of Pega PRPC architecture and case management.
- Experience with Data Types, Activities, Flows, Report Definitions, and Decision Rules.
- Debugging using Pega logs and Tracer.
- Hands-on experience with Pega Diagnostic Cloud (PDC).
- Experience managing BIX extracts.
- Knowledge of Pega hotfix installation, manual deployments, upgrades, and technical refresh.
- Understanding of Pega Cloud architecture is an added advantage.

3. Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes

- 3+ years of experience supporting applications on Kubernetes / OpenShift.
- Strong knowledge of application deployment and troubleshooting.




- Experience with containerized production environments.

4. Monitoring & Observability

- Hands-on experience with Grafana and Prometheus.
- Knowledge of Splunk, AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, and Aternity.
- Understanding of metrics, logs, traces, APM, and alerting.

5. Linux & Shell Scripting

- Solid experience in Linux / Unix environments.
- Hands-on experience with Shell scripting and automation.
- Experience troubleshooting JVM / Tomcat-based application servers.

6. Database & Scheduling Tools

- Experience with Autosys enterprise scheduling.
- Working knowledge of Oracle and MS SQL Server.

Required Experience

- 8+ years of overall experience in Systems Engineering / Production Support.
- 5+ years in SRE / Reliability Engineering.
- 4+ years in Pega PRPC / PDC production support.
- 3+ years in Kubernetes / Red Hat OpenShift.
- 3+ years in Linux / Unix application support.
