Job Description – Store Supervisor

1. Job Purpose

To supervise day-to-day store operations, ensuring proper receipt, storage, preservation, issuance and inventory control of raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts and finished goods. Ensure accurate stock records, timely material availability and efficient warehouse management.

2. Key Responsibilities

1. Store Operations

- Supervise daily activities of store personnel and warehouse staff.
- Ensure proper receipt, inspection, storage and issuance of materials.
- Maintain proper identification, labelling and segregation of materials.
- Ensure materials are stored safely and systematically.

2. Inventory Management

- Maintain accurate stock registers and inventory records.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and cycle counts.
- Identify and report shortages, excess stock, damages and discrepancies.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices are followed.

3. Material Handling

- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality and Maintenance departments.
- Ensure timely issue of raw materials and packaging materials to production.
- Monitor inward and outward material movements.
- Verify material quantities against purchase orders, invoices and delivery challans.

4. Documentation & MIS

- Maintain GRN, material issue slips, stock registers and gate passes.
- Ensure proper documentation of all stock transactions.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock reports.
- Maintain records for audits and stock reconciliation.

5. Safety & Housekeeping

- Maintain cleanliness and discipline within the store.




- Ensure proper stacking and safe material handling.
- Follow fire safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
- Ensure pest control and storage conditions are maintained.

6. Team Management

- Allocate duties to storekeepers, helpers and warehouse workers.
- Monitor staff performance and attendance.
- Train team members on inventory procedures and safety practices.

3. Qualification & Experience

- Graduate in any discipline; Diploma in Material Management or Supply Chain preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in stores or warehouse operations.
- Experience in the Food & Beverage / FMCG industry will be preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management, FIFO/FEFO and stock reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/SAP systems.

- Timely inward and outward material processing.
- Compliance with FIFO/FEFO procedures.
- Timely submission of inventory reports.
- Store housekeeping and audit compliance.

6. Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in beverage manufacturing, food processing, FMCG or other manufacturing industries will be preferred.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
