Experience: 8-10years in a mid-to-large-sized apparel export/manufacturing firm

Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Apparel Merchandising or Textiles from a recognized institute

Location: Udyog Vihar, Gurugram

ObjectiveThe Assistant Merchandising Manager will oversee the end-to-end merchandising operations, ensuring seamless execution from product development to shipment. This role requires technical expertise in denim manufacturing, laundry processes, and a proven ability to manage client requirements, costing, and cross-functional team coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Product Development & Sampling: Manage the full sampling lifecycle, including organizing fabric and trims, placing sampling programs, and tracking Proto, Fit, Size Set, and PP samples to meet buyer timelines.
- Costing & Negotiation: Perform accurate costings, analyze margins, and negotiate pricing with buyers and vendors to ensure project profitability.
- Production Oversight:



Coordinate closely with production and quality teams to ensure bulk production meets quality standards and scheduled delivery dates.
- Documentation & Systems: Maintain comprehensive records of tech packs and orders in ERP systems. Experience with Brand Portals and ERP platforms is essential.
- Client Coordination: Act as a primary point of contact for retail clients, ensuring explicit communication regarding status updates, sample approvals, and production hurdles.
- Denim Specialization: Oversee wash development and technical requirements specific to denim; apply knowledge of laundry processes to troubleshoot production issues.
- Timeline Management: Create and monitor Time & Action (T&A;) calendars to ensure 100% on-time shipment, proactively flagging potential risks to management.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

- Strong technical knowledge of woven fabrics, specifically denim and associated laundry/wash treatments.
- Proven track record in handling mid-to-large-scale accounts and international buyers (USA/EU/Australia).
