Job Overview
We’re looking for a skilled CNC Messer Machine Operator who knows their way around plate cutting like a pro. If you can handle profiles, nesting, and deliver clean cuts then you’re the one.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Messer/profile cutting machine (Oxy-fuel/Plasma)
- Read and understand fabrication drawings (no guesswork)
- Understand nesting for optimal material utilization and implement the plan for cutting
- Ensure precise cutting as per dimensions and tolerances
- Maintain cutting quality (minimal slag, smooth edges)
- Handle machine setup, calibration, and basic troubleshooting
- Coordinate with fabrication team for job priorities
- Maintain daily production reports
- Maintain consumables and provide suitable life
- understand gas pressures and readings
Requirements
- Experience on CNC Messer / profile cutting machines
- Knowledge of nesting software (OmniWin)
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Understanding of different steel grades and thickness handling
- Basic machine maintenance knowledge
- Strong attention to detail (we don’t want “almost correct” cuts)
Bonus Points (Nice to Have)
- Experience in PEB / heavy fabrication industry
- Ability to reduce scrap and improve yield
- Familiarity with plasma + oxy-fuel both
