Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced L3 Network Engineer with robust expertise in enterprise network engineering, infrastructure migration, and implementation projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing, implementing, migrating, and troubleshooting complex LAN/WAN and data center network environments.
The role requires advanced knowledge of Cisco and/or Arista networking technologies, switching, routing, VLANs, high availability, and network redundancy. The candidate should be capable of leading network migrations, executing infrastructure upgrades, managing implementation activities, and providing L3 escalation support across enterprise, ISP, and campus environments.
Key Responsibilities

1. L3 Network Operations & Technical Escalations
Provide advanced L3 troubleshooting and escalation support for complex network incidents across enterprise, ISP, and data center environments.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical network outages, connectivity issues, packet loss, latency, and performance degradation.
Resolve complex routing, switching, VLAN, and network redundancy issues.
Support network optimization, capacity planning, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
Collaborate with L1/L2 teams, vendors, and service providers to resolve escalated issues.
2. Network Migration & Implementation
Plan, design, and execute network migration projects involving legacy infrastructure replacement, network upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
Lead migrations involving Cisco and/or Arista switches, routers, VLANs, and enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure.
Develop detailed migration plans, implementation procedures, rollback strategies, and Method of Procedure (MOP) documents.

Execute network cutovers during approved maintenance windows with minimal business disruption.
Perform pre-migration assessments, configuration backups, compatibility checks, and readiness validation.
Conduct post-migration testing, connectivity validation, and performance verification.
Coordinate with stakeholders, project teams, and vendors to ensure successful implementation and handover.
3. Enterprise LAN & Campus Network Engineering
Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN and campus network infrastructure across multi-floor corporate environments.
Configure and troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 network components, including VLANs, trunking, inter-VLAN routing, and spanning tree.
Implement network connectivity across MDF/IDF locations, server rooms, access switches, and end-user infrastructure.
Support network expansion, infrastructure consolidation, and network architecture improvements.
Ensure network availability, scalability, and redundancy across enterprise environments.
4. Switching, Routing & High Availability
Demonstrate advanced hands-on expertise in Cisco and/or Arista networking platforms.
Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
Implement and troubleshoot HSRP, VRRP, and other network redundancy mechanisms.
Manage VLANs, trunking, STP/RSTP/MST, EtherChannel/LACP, and Layer 3 switching.
Troubleshoot complex routing, switching, and network convergence issues using CLI and packet analysis tools.
Support network segmentation, IP addressing, subnetting, and routing policy implementation.
5. Data Center & Infrastructure Implementation
Implement and support network infrastructure within enterprise and ISP data center environments.
Work with data center switching, network racks, patch panels, structured cabling, and connectivity layouts.
Execute network device installations, rack-and-stack activities, configuration, and commissioning.
Support data center network migrations, hardware refreshes,

and infrastructure expansion.
Collaborate with server, virtualization, cloud, and security teams for end-to-end implementation.
6. Wireless Networking & PoE Infrastructure
Implement and troubleshoot enterprise wireless infrastructure, including Wireless Access Points and wireless controllers.
Support PoE infrastructure for access points, IP phones, and other network-connected devices.
Troubleshoot wireless coverage, connectivity, roaming, and access point power issues.
Participate in wireless infrastructure upgrades and deployment projects.
7. Documentation & Change Management
Prepare and maintain network diagrams, implementation plans, configuration documentation, and operational procedures.
Follow change management processes, including impact assessments, approvals, maintenance windows, and rollback planning.
Maintain accurate configuration backups, asset records, and migration documentation.
Provide technical handover and knowledge transfer to operations teams.
