Job Description – Safety Officer

Department: EHS
Location: Alandi, Pune
Experience: 1–2 Years
Qualification: Diploma / ADIS Certified

Job Responsibilities

- Conduct regular safety inspections of plant and shop-floor areas.
- Ensure PPE compliance and safe working practices.
- Monitor chemical handling, storage, and labelling.
- Implement Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures.
- Monitor hot work, confined space, electrical, and work-at-height safety.
- Inspect fire-fighting equipment and emergency arrangements.
- Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks.
- Report accidents, near misses, and safety violations.
- Support HIRA, JSA, safety audits, and CAPA.
- Maintain safety records and documentation.

Required Skills

- ADIS Certification mandatory.
- 1–2 years of industrial / chemical safety experience.
- Knowledge of industrial, chemical, and fire safety.
- Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
- Good communication and observation skills.
