Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, financial documentation, payment processing, inventory accounting, and reporting activities at our fertilizer and cattle feed manufacturing facility in Mundra, Gujarat. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting statutory compliance, reconciling accounts, and coordinating with the Head Office Accounts team.

Key Responsibilities

- Record and maintain daily accounting transactions related to site operations, purchases, and expenses.
- Verify and process supplier, contractor, and transporter invoices against purchase orders, goods receipt notes (GRNs), and work orders.
- Handle payment processing, cash transactions, petty cash, and supporting documentation.
- Maintain purchase, sales, expense, and general ledger entries in the accounting system.
- Maintain inventory records for raw materials, packing materials, spare parts, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods in coordination with the stores team.
- Reconcile physical stock with book and system balances and report discrepancies.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly expense statements and MIS reports for management.
- Assist with GST returns, TDS calculations, deductions, and statutory compliance in coordination with the Head Office.
- Prepare journal, payment, and receipt vouchers and ensure accurate accounting entries.
- Perform bank, vendor, customer, and inter-unit reconciliations.
- Assist in monthly and year-end closing, including provisions, accruals, and ledger scrutiny.




- Monitor site expenses against approved budgets and highlight variances.
- Maintain financial documents and records for internal and statutory audits.
- Coordinate with the Head Office Accounts & Finance team regarding payments, approvals, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting records and supporting documents.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned by management.

Educational Qualifications

- B.Com / M.Com / MBA in Finance or an equivalent qualification in Accounting or Finance.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, and TDS.
- Experience in inventory accounting and expense management.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software; SAP knowledge is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Tally, SAP FICO, or similar accounting systems.
- Ability to verify purchase orders, invoices, work orders, and financial documents.
- Knowledge of bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny, and audit documentation.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and numerical accuracy.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently in a manufacturing plant or site environment.

Experience Requirements

- 7–10 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance.
- Experience in fertilizer, cattle feed, chemicals, food processing, or other manufacturing industries is preferred.
- Prior experience handling site accounting and coordinating with Head Office Finance teams will be an advantage.

Salary Package: ₹5–6 LPA, depending on experience and suitability.
