Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong functional and data analysis background to support regulatory reporting initiatives within a Broker-Dealer environment.

The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently with business stakeholders and technology teams to understand regulatory reporting requirements, identify and source relevant data, define source-to-target mappings into OFSAA Financial Data Store (FDS) or similar financial data platforms, and support implementation, testing, reconciliation, and validation activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and regulatory reporting requirements in collaboration with Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams.
- Identify source systems, data elements, and data dependencies required to support Broker-Dealer regulatory reporting.
- Define and document source-to-target data mappings into the OFSAA Financial Data Store (FDS) data model or similar financial data platforms.
- Perform data profiling, data analysis, reconciliation, and gap analysis to assess data quality, completeness, and suitability for regulatory reporting.
- Work closely with technology teams to drive data sourcing, ETL, implementation, and issue-resolution activities.
- Support SIT and UAT, including validation and reconciliation of reporting outputs against source systems and reported figures.




- Prepare and maintain functional requirements, data mapping specifications, data dictionaries, and supporting documentation.
- Identify data issues, dependencies, risks, and gaps proactively and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and effectively coordinate across business and technology teams.
- Support regulatory reporting requirements, including SEC Rule 15c3-3 (Customer Protection Rule), where applicable.

Required Skills

- Strong experience as a Business Analyst within BFSI or Capital Markets.
- Valuable understanding of Broker-Dealer operations and regulatory reporting.
- Strong experience in data analysis, data profiling, data mapping, and reconciliation.
- Hands-on experience in source-to-target mapping and working with large financial datasets.
- Experience with OFSAA Financial Data Store (FDS) or similar financial/regulatory data platforms.
- Strong understanding of data sourcing and ETL processes.
- Experience supporting SIT/UAT and data validation.
- Ability to prepare clear BRDs/FRDs, mapping documents, data dictionaries, and functional specifications.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams.
- Ability to work independently and drive requirements/data issues through closure.
