ROLE PROFILE: AZURE SPECIALIST(L2/ L3 Support)- Azure Iaas/ Paas/ VM/ IaC/ CI/ CD/ Devops Engineer

Experience: 6-8 years

Location: Mumbai/ Pune/ Noida/ Bangalore/ Hyderabad/ Chennai

OVERVIEW

Client is transforming towards a cloud-first, automation-driven operating model built on Microsoft Azure, platform engineering principles and AI-enabled operations.

The Azure Specialist is responsible for delivering, operating and continuously improving Azure platform services through modern engineering practices. The role focuses on Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, cloud operations, AI-enabled service improvements and platform reliability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Azure Operations Support

- Provide L2/L3 support for Azure services.
- Monitor platform health, security, performance and availability.
- Support incident, problem, change and service management activities.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Manage lifecycle, maintenance and operational readiness activities.

Azure Platform Engineering

- Deploy, manage and optimize Azure infrastructure and services.
- Support Entra ID, Networking, VMs, Storage, AVD, Azure Arc, Backup and monitoring solutions.
- Maintain secure, resilient and cost-effective environments.
- Support cloud transformation initiatives.

Automation IaC

- Develop IaC solutions using PowerShell, Bicep, ARM Templates and Azure tools.
- Create automation using PowerShell, Python and Azure services.
- Support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Drive automation, self-service and standardization.

Project Delivery Improvement

- Implement cloud solutions and technical changes.
- Support testing, deployment,



transition and documentation.
- Work with stakeholders to meet business requirements.
- Improve platform performance, security, monitoring and processes.
- Support innovation in cloud, automation and AI-enabled services.

Collaboration

- Work with users, suppliers and technology teams.
- Participate in Agile planning and technical workshops.
- Communicate issues, risks and recommendations effectively.
- Promote knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE

- Strong experience in Azure, Cloud Infrastructure or Platform Engineering.
- Azure certifications and ITIL knowledge desirable.
- 7+ years of IT support or cloud technology experience.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- Expertise in Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS services.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Automation (Runbooks, Functions, Logic Apps), Azure Arc, Azure Backup, Update Manager, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Microsoft Sentinel, and Azure Networking and Connectivity Solutions.
- Knowledge of networking, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers and hybrid connectivity.
- Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, scripting and automation.
- Understanding of IaC, cloud governance, security and compliance.
- Experience with DevOps, source control, CI/CD and release management.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage priorities, collaborate effectively and deliver high-quality customer service.
