Job Summary: Edmium Overseas Consultancy is looking for enthusiastic and result-orientated education counsellors to join our team in Madhapur, Hyderabad.
The candidate will be responsible for guiding students who aspire to pursue higher education abroad, understanding their academic backgrounds and career goals, and helping them identify suitable universities and courses. The role also involves lead management, student follow-ups and coordination with internal admission teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Counsel students and parents regarding overseas education opportunities in countries such as the USA, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, Germany, France, Netherlands and other destinations.
- Handle incoming enquiries and make outbound calls to prospective students.
- Understand student academic profiles, career objectives and study-abroad preferences.
- Recommend suitable universities,
courses and study destinations based on student eligibility.
- Explain admission procedures, university requirements, application processes and timelines.
- Guide students through the initial stages of the admission process.
- Follow up with prospective students through calls, WhatsApp and emails.
- Schedule counselling sessions and coordinate with admission and application teams.
- Maintain accurate student information and follow-up records in CRM software.
- Work towards assigned counselling, lead-conversion and admission targets.
- Stay updated on university requirements, international education trends and admission processes.
Requirements
Education:
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Candidates with backgrounds in business, education or communications are preferred.
Experience:
- 6 months to 3 years of experience in education counselling, study-abroad consulting, sales or customer relationship management.
