Project Role: Custom Software Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Workday Data Mapping & Conversions professional with strong expertise in enterprise data migration, transformation, and implementation projects.

The candidate will support large-scale and complex project recovery initiatives, focusing on identifying delivery challenges, stabilizing troubled projects, improving delivery performance, and executing recovery plans.

The role requires hands-on Workday platform experience along with strong project governance, PMO, Agile delivery, stakeholder management, and transformation excellence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Support recovery, stabilization, and realignment of projects facing delivery challenges.
- Identify project issues, assess business impact, define recovery solutions, and execute turnaround plans.
- Perform Workday data mapping, data conversion, migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.
- Support large-scale Workday implementations, transformations, and migration projects.
- Manage delivery governance frameworks aligned with TDLC, Agile, and SAFe methodologies.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, quality metrics, delivery performance, and resource utilization.
- Track key performance indicators such as SPI, burn rate, forecast accuracy, project margins, and budget compliance.
- Identify cost leakages and support Estimate at Completion (EAC) recovery initiatives.
- Prepare project dashboards, metrics, and reports for steering committees and executive status reviews.
- Manage RAID logs, project documentation, risks, dependencies, and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with developers, testers,



business SMEs, client stakeholders, and platform leads to resolve delivery bottlenecks.
- Support sprint planning, execution tracking, issue management, and team-level quality management.
- Create and maintain project plans using MS Project / MPP / MSPS.
- Drive continuous improvement, reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), and improve Delivery Experience (DEX).
- Mentor technical teams and develop reusable assets, knowledge repositories, and project recovery playbooks.
- Support workforce planning, resource readiness, onboarding, and delivery quality.

Mandatory Skills
- Robust hands-on experience in Workday Data Mapping & Conversions.
- Experience in Workday data migration, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise implementations and transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of project recovery, delivery stabilization, and governance.
- Experience with Agile / SAFe / TDLC delivery methodologies.
- Strong PMO, stakeholder management, risk management, and reporting skills.
- Experience in AMS and enterprise application delivery.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major enterprise platform such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or o9 Solutions.

Good-to-Have Skills
- Automated Testing experience.
- Exposure to GenAI technologies.
- Workday platform certifications.
- PMI / PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification.
- Experience with MS Project / MPP / MSPS.
- Experience in enterprise transformation and system integration projects.

Required Experience
- 8+years of overall IT experience.
- Strong relevant experience in Workday Data Mapping & Conversions.
- Experience supporting large-scale implementations, migrations, or transformation programs.
- Experience in project governance, PMO, delivery management, and project recovery.
