Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Vice President – Investment Banking to lead deal origination, business development and end-to-end transaction execution. The candidate will be responsible for securing new mandates, managing complex buy-side and sell-side transactions, developing strategic client relationships, and mentoring a team of investment banking professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of originating and closing transactions, excellent financial and valuation expertise, and an established network across corporate promoters, private equity funds, venture capital investors and financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deal Origination & Business Development

- Identify and develop new business opportunities across M&A; advisory, debt advisory and equity fundraising.
- Build relationships with business owners, promoters, CEOs, CFOs and corporate decision-makers.
- Prepare and deliver client pitches, proposals and transaction mandates.
- Develop a solid pipeline of prospective clients and investment banking assignments.
- Drive business growth by converting prospective opportunities into signed mandates.

2. End-to-End Transaction Execution

- Lead buy-side and sell-side M&A; transactions from mandate origination through negotiations and closure.
- Manage transaction structuring, valuation, due diligence, negotiations and documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, investors, legal advisers, accountants and other transaction stakeholders.
- Monitor transaction timelines, resolve execution challenges and ensure timely deal completion.

3. Financial Modelling & Valuation

- Review and oversee financial models, business plans, valuation analyses and investment memoranda.
- Apply valuation methodologies including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF),



comparable company analysis and precedent transaction analysis.
- Prepare and review teasers, Information Memorandums (IMs), pitchbooks and investment presentations.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of financial analysis and client deliverables.

4. Investor & Stakeholder Relationship Management

- Develop and maintain relationships with private equity funds, venture capital firms, family offices, UHNWIs and financial institutions.
- Identify suitable strategic and financial investors for client transactions.
- Leverage professional networks to facilitate fundraising, acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
- Represent the firm in client meetings, negotiations and industry networking events.

5. Team Leadership & Management

- Lead, mentor and develop a team of analysts and associates.
- Review financial models, presentations, transaction documents and analytical deliverables.
- Ensure high standards of execution, accountability and quality.
- Manage multiple mandates and coordinate team resources effectively.

Required Qualifications
- CA, MBA in Finance from a reputed institution, or CFA Level III passed.
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in investment banking, M&A; advisory or transaction advisory.
- Demonstrated experience in originating and successfully closing investment banking mandates.
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation, transaction structuring and investment analysis.
- Proven experience in managing buy-side and sell-side transactions.
- Established relationships with corporate clients, investors and financial institutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to manage multiple transactions independently.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and transaction-related activities.
