Role Description The Vertical Milling Center Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad. This role involves setting up, operating, and monitoring vertical milling machines to produce precision components for liquid ring vacuum pumps and related equipment. The operator will interpret technical drawings and machining instructions, select appropriate tools, and adjust machine parameters to meet specified tolerances and quality standards.

Daily responsibilities include inspecting finished parts, performing basic machine maintenance, and documenting production activities.



The role also requires collaborating with supervisors and quality teams to resolve machining issues, maintain a secure work environment, and support continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

- Hands-on experience in operating vertical milling centers or similar CNC/manual milling machines with a focus on precision machining.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances, and basic geometric symbols.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, workholding methods, and basic machine maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection instruments.
- Strong attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and adherence to safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow standardized work instructions, meet production targets, and work effectively in a team setting.
- Prior experience in pump manufacturing or heavy engineering industries is an advantage.
- Relevant technical diploma, certificate, or equivalent practical experience in machining or mechanical engineering is preferred.
