We're looking for someone to monitor live trading operations on a day-to-day basis. You'll work closely with our quant researchers to ensure trades are executing correctly and flag any issues in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor orders placed by the trading strategy and check whether any have failed due to order size or other execution issues
- Track margin utilization across accounts • Log in to trading accounts regularly and manage/retrieve API or login credentials as needed
- Watch for discrepancies between expected and actual order execution • Report issues promptly to the quant research team
- Maintain basic records of daily monitoring (what was checked, any failures, margin status, etc.)
Requirements
•Basic knowledge of stock market/trading concepts (orders, margin, order types)
- Familiarity with the XTS trading terminal/UI (must have used it before) • Valuable communication skills: needs to clearly report issues, not just notice them
- Comfortable working with account logins/credentials responsibly
- Attentive to detail, reliable with daily monitoring tasks Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a trading desk, brokerage, or algo trading support role • Basic understanding of what "order failure" typically means (size limits, margin shortfall, etc
