Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer cum Merchandiser who can manage textile design development along with merchandising activities. The candidate will be responsible for developing new designs, coordinating sampling and production, managing fabric selections, and ensuring timely execution of collections and customer orders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Textile Designing & Product Development

- Develop innovative textile prints, patterns, colour combinations and designs based on current market trends.
- Create designs for women's ethnic wear, dress materials, kurtis and other textile products.
- Research market trends, customer preferences and competitor collections.
- Coordinate fabric selection, colour matching and print development.
- Develop new collections according to seasonal requirements and market demand.

1. Merchandising & Sampling

- Manage the complete sampling process from design development to final approval.
- Coordinate with printing units, fabric suppliers, production teams and vendors.
- Maintain records of design specifications, fabric details, sampling status and approvals.
- Ensure samples are developed according to quality standards and timelines.
- Follow up on sampling, production and order execution.

1. Production Coordination

- Coordinate with production teams to ensure approved designs are executed correctly.
- Monitor production schedules and follow up to ensure timely completion.
- Identify and resolve design,



fabric and production-related issues.
- Ensure consistency in design, colour, quality and finishing.

1. Order Management & Merchandising

- Coordinate with sales, inventory and dispatch teams for order requirements.
- Track customer orders, production status and delivery timelines.
- Maintain merchandising reports, product details and collection records.
- Assist with product costing, fabric consumption and vendor coordination.
- Support the development of collections for exhibitions and customer presentations.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of textile designing, fabrics, printing techniques and colour combinations.
- Proficiency in CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or relevant textile design software.
- Understanding of textile merchandising, sampling and production processes.
- Good communication, coordination and follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle multiple designs and orders simultaneously.
- Basic Excel knowledge for tracking and reporting.
- Strong understanding of women's ethnic wear and current textile market trends.

Qualification Degree or Diploma in Textile Designing, Fashion Designing, Textile Technology or a related field.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
