Verona was founded by two serial entrepreneurs Mr. Poshak Agrawal and Mr. Rahul Subramaniam, and backed by some of the biggest names in global technology, such as Mr. Michael Novogratz (ex-Fortress Investment Group, CEO of Galaxy Group Investments) & Mr. Rishi Jaitly (ex-Twitter CEO for Asia, Middle East, and Africa).

About the Role

As Team Lead, you are a matchmaker, relationship coach, and people leader in one. You will personally manage your own portfolio of premium clients, guiding each from the first onboarding call through to marriage: understanding who they are, curating compatible matches, and coaching them through every interaction. You will also lead and mentor a team of Relationship Consultants, setting the standard for how matchmaking and coaching are done at Verona.

Education and Experience

- Bachelor’s/ Master’s from a Tier 1 institute (preferred)
- 4+ years of experience working in client facing roles with experience in counseling, relationship building
- Background in psychology, counselling, social work, relationship coaching, or matchmaking

Key Responsibilities

1. Matchmaking & Client Ownership

- Be the primary point of contact for your premium clients across the full journey: onboarding, needs assessment, shortlisting, presenting matches, and supporting them until they find the right partner.
- Conduct in-depth consultations to understand each client’s values, preferences, aspirations, partner expectations, personal history, family and cultural background, and long-term relationship goals.
- Assess personality,



communication style, emotional needs, and relationship patterns using psychological tools, interviews, and compatibility frameworks, and turn these into tailored guidance and compatibility insights.
- Curate and recommend matches based on a holistic view of each client’s preferences and readiness.

2. Relationship Coaching & Counselling

- Coach clients on self-awareness, relationship readiness, and communication.
- Guide them through conversations, expectations, and decisions with constructive feedback and emotional support.
- Help clients reflect on their experiences and grow through the process of finding the right partner.

3. Team Leadership & Mentoring

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Relationship Consultants, fostering ownership, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Set clear expectations and quality standards, give constructive feedback, and identify growth opportunities.
- Onboard and guide consultants on complex cases, track team performance (client satisfaction, match outcomes), and build resilience to sustain it.

4. Reporting & Collaboration

- Maintain confidential records of client interactions, sessions, and match outcomes, and ensure the team does the same.
- Share regular progress reports with leadership, internal teams & clients for better matchmaking precision.
- Stay updated on relationship psychology, dating trends, and coaching methodologies.

Location/Work Environment The Vatika Triangle; Gurgaon, India.

- We have built a creative space in a prime location in Gurgaon. The office is on M.G. Road, a 2-minute walk from the M.G. Road Metro Station.
- Our team consists of creative and diverse people, all goal-oriented and hungry for growth (and healthy snacks). The work environment is a mixture of formal and playful, as we all strive to get things done while sipping Italian coffee brewed in-house.
