Key Responsibilities

- Field Surveys: Conduct topographic, boundary, route, and as-built surveys using GPS, robotic total stations, and level instruments.
- Construction Layout: Perform site layout for earthwork, clearing, utilities, and structural foundations.
- Data Processing & Mapping: Translate field notes and raw data into accurate CAD drawings, GIS layers, and topographical maps.
- Boundary & Record Research: Review historical land records, property deeds, title reports, and legal descriptions.
- Quality & Calibration: Regularly check, calibrate, and maintain surveying instruments and maintain instrument logs.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with civil engineers, project managers, contractors, and local authorities to resolve discrepancies or site constraints.
- Compliance:



Ensure all survey operations comply with state/local engineering standards, environmental codes, and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, or a Diploma in Surveying (or equivalent state-recognized certification/licensure).
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in construction or civil infrastructure surveying.

- Technical Proficiency:
- Advanced operation of total stations, GPS/GNSS receivers, and digital levels.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 2D, and GIS software packages.
